North County has plenty of afternoon and Happy Hour live music, and some really good bands playing tonight. Palm Beach Gardens has the Dee Dee Wilde Band the courtyard at Downtown at the Gardens, the Sierra Band at Paddy Mac’s, and the Mighty Quinn at the Crazy Horse. Lake Park has Slip and the Spinouts who always put on a good surf and roots rock show.
Jupiter starts hoppin’ at 6 with The Helmsmen at Harbourside, then it’s the Killbillies up on US 1 at Tiki 52, Across the Universe at Double Roads, Fresh Catch at the Square Grouper, the Bobby Lee Rodgers band at Guanabanas, the Warren Silvers Band at Uncle Mick’s, Big City at Average Joe’s, and everybody’s favorite The Flyers at Maxi’s!
There’s two great concerts in West Palm Beach scheduled this weekend! For $100 bucks or so you can go to the Dave Mathews concert tonight at the Coral Sky Amphitheatre – (lawn seats – you might get wet!). Tomorrow it’s Toby Keith and the Eli Young Band.
Lake Worth’s big show tonight is at Propaganda with 5 Punk bands scheduled for only a $7 cover! There’s also Dawn Patrol across the street at the Bamboo Room, Francene at Havana, The Crush at Brogue’s, and the Lahinch Mob at the Rhum Shak. A little further west Knockdown is at Piper’s and the Blues Crusaders at Johnny Q’s.
There’s a lot of good South County choices for Live Music tonight starting with Crazy Fingers and Unlimited Devotion at the Funky Biscuit for a Jerry Garcia’s birthday celebration! Other Boca hot spots include Shades of Blue at Turn 3, the Living Daylights at the Dubliner, and The Mellow Relics at the Funky Buddha.
Delray has a party at 3rd and 3rd with Girfriend Material providing the entertainment as they get ready for a 2-week break for renovations. Atlantic Avenue lights up with Sekond Nature at the Bull Bar, Big Jam Theory at Johnny Brown’s, and ZBRA at the Hurricane. Just off Atlantic you can hear live jazz with Oriente at the Arts Garage (if they’re not sold out), Shakedown at Boston’s, Nicholas Garnett at Crane’s, the Southside Blues Band with The Captain and The Beall at Kevro’s, and Mandy Moon late at Dada. And let’s not forget Echoes of Erin for your Saturday Night Irish at Tim Finnegan’s on Federal Highway!
The best local bands in Boynton Beach includes the Killbillies at Two Georges early on, then Rehab at the Banana Boat, Subject to Change at Elmo’s, Axcents at the Brass tap, and 56 Ace at Hurricane Wings. The Backyard has the Jonnie Morgan Band in town for a special gig for only a $10 cover!
We’re welcoming back an old friend – the Bamboo Room – this weekend! Do you like to hear Live Jazz in Lake Worth? Then stop in tonight at 7 for Lina and the Blue Collective, or tomorrow for Maurice Frank. Latin Pop? Come back at 9:30-ish for High Tolerance. Saturday night it’s Dawn Patrol, a Rock and Reggae act.
