When Does Music Season Start?

South Florida’s high tourism season falls during the wintertime, from mid-October to . . .

Source: Florida When to Go | fla-guide.info

So this must be the last weekend before the snowbirds start arriving!  Next weekend is the start of Music Season in Palm Beach County ushered in by ARToberfest and Rudystock, so here’s where you can hear some of your favorite bands before things get crowded:

At 6 The Flyers will be playing as an acoustic duo for a change at the Lakeside Anchor Inn in Lantana at 6, and The Kinected will try to keep the volume down at Harbourside in Jupiter.

At 8 Slip and the Spinouts will be bringing their surf and roots rock show back to the Brewhouse Gallery in Lake Park while the Killbillies will be rockin’ out the Tiki 52 bar at the Blowing Rock’s Marina in Tequesta.  Jazz fans can find the Susan Merritt Trio at the Tin Fish on Clematis Street.

At 9 The Quax have the leadoff spot at Swamp Grass Willy’s in Palm Beach Gardens, Jangle Leg is back at the Vintage Tap in Delray, and Solemark entertains at the Funky Buddha in Boca.  Then it’s the Mighty Quinn at Brogue’s and Razin’ Kane keeping Wellington awake at the White Elephant.

Late night includes Pulse at O’Shea’s, 56 Ace at Elmo’s in Boynton, and Raggy Monster at Lafayette’s in CityPlace.

Of course there’s more, so check our Music Calendar to see the rest!

Three Tribute Bands Tonight, and Four Tomorrow!

You can hear some pretty good tribute bands perform tonight.  Highway Run (Journey) is at Johnny Brown’s in Delray, Unlimited Devotion (Grateful Dead) is at Guanabanas in Jupiter, and Melody Road (The Beatles and Neil Diamond) is at the Meatball Room in Boca!

Melody Road

It all started with the Elvis impersonators, and now everybody’s doing it!  And tomorrow night you can hear Dreams: Crystal Visions of Fleetwood Mac at the Bamboo Room, Across the Universe, a Beatles tribute at Double Roads Tavern, and Studio 54, a Tribute to Disco at the Wellington Amphitheater, and Unlimited Devotion will be down at the Funky Biscuit in Boca.  Benny’s on the Beach in Lake Worth also has George Orr, a Rod Stewart impersonator Sunday late afternoon.  What a variety!

Know Any Musicians Looking for Free Publicity?

Send them our way if they play in Palm Beach County!  We publicize all local Live Music events we can find on our Live Music Calendar and App, so make sure you let us know about them!    We also Tweet about events and post on Facebook.

Right now we’re upgrading our website to include even more photos, videos, and links to local musician websites and Facebook.  Send us some pics and we’ll put them to good use!  Ask your favorite band to send in some graphics about their latest CD and we’ll put up an ad for it!

You know there’s a tremendous amount of musical talent playing year round every night of the week.  The more exposure the better in this business so help us get the word out!
